The Global Clean-Up Challenge has come to an end

The #GlobalCleanUpChallenge brought together 231 participants from 16 countries and 77 cities and towns — from Russia to the Bahamas, from Kyrgyzstan to Venezuela — united by one goal: to make the world cleaner and kinder.

During the challenge, 340 events took place:

— 🌱 314 clean-ups — 1,523 bags of waste were collected and disposed of (in some places, entire trucks were filled!)
— 🎓 Eco-lessons and lectures in schools and universities
— 🎲 Educational games for children and adults
— 🎬 Film screenings and cultural-educational meetups

Project geography:
— Kyrgyzstan: dozens of clean-ups combined with sports training sessions.
— Vietnam: activists drew media attention and even became local TV heroes.
— Venezuela: theatrical performances where a girl became a “living symbol” of the planet — both blooming and suffering.
— Russia: ranked among the top 3 in number of participants; in Moscow, they held a “fun clean-up” that turned ecology into a celebration.
— Georgia: clean-ups along the Black Sea coast that united residents and tourists.
— Nigeria: activists held numerous clean-up events, setting a bright example for the region.
— In many countries, clean-ups became warm gatherings with children and even pets — ending with shared meals or movie nights.

✨ New practices: birdwatching inspired many to reconnect with nature in a new way.

The challenge showed that ecology is not just about waste sorting — it’s about people, stories, and small actions that together create a big movement toward a cleaner future.
